Washington County School Board members recognized the accomplishments of athletes from the WAVE school when the board met in regular session Monday, July 12.
The students recently competed in the Regional Special Olympics, taking home the following honors:
- Yazmin Courtney – First Place in the Tennis Ball Throw and Third in the 50 meter run
- Henry Creamer – First in the Softball Throw and First in the 50 meter walk
- Safeara Toole – Second in the Softball Throw and First in the 50 meter run
- Connor O’Quin – Second in the Softball Throw and First in the 100 meter walk
- Miranda Otto – Second in the Softball Throw and First in the 100 meter walk.
