Road rage lands Caryville man in jail

WASHINGTON COUNTY – A Washington County man is in custody in Okaloosa County on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Shaquille Brown, 28, of Caryville, is currently in custody in Okaloosa County where he is awaiting extradition to Washington County to face felony charges.

According to Washington County SheriffÂ’s Office, on September 14, Brown was traveling South on State Road 79, north of Ebro, when he began driving erratically at speeds of approximately 100 mph.

The victim in the case stated he was travelling in the right lane when Brown approached and passed his vehicle, then a few minutes later Brown slowed down, and he then went around BrownÂ’s vehicle. The victim said Brown then sped up and passed him again honking his horn as he went around.

After repeating this action several times WCSO says Brown then rolled down his window and pointed a firearm at the victim.

According to law enforcement, the victim, fearing for his life, slammed on the brakes attempting to avoid any further confrontation. However, Brown continued to taunt the victim by pulling over to the shoulder of the road as the victim passed him, Brown then continued at a high rate of speed.

The victim notified law enforcement as the incident traveled into Bay County. WCSO obtained an  arrest warrant for Brown on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
