Chipley man arrested after fleeing from traffic stop

A motorcyclist was arrested on fleeing and eluding charges after leading Washington County deputies on a short pursuit on Thursday.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a motorcycle near the intersection of Rogers Road and State Road 77. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Kevin Harrison of Chipley, failed to stop. Harrison continued north on SR 77 into Wausau. Harrison led deputies to an address near Ledger Road, where he abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot. A perimeter was established, and Harrison was located in the area a short time later.

Harrison was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked on charges of fleeing and eluding.
