Two arrested for heroin and meth


EBRO – A man and a woman were arrested after Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at the Ebro Motel on November 6. 

 Around 7 p.m. deputies responded to a call-in reference to a physical disturbance at the motel. While a deputy spoke to the alleged victim, Natalia Kalina, 28, of Freeport, several illegal items were seen. Kalina stated the items belonged to her boyfriend, 40-year-old Shane Roehm, of Defuniak Springs who had left the room with a black bag when they started arguing. Kalina told deputies the bag contained ‘dope’. 

When Roehm returned to the room, deputies questioned him on the whereabouts of the black bag which was later located. The black bag was found to contain several plastic containers, Roehm’s wallet, and miscellaneous items. Roehm told WCSO the items in the bag were his.  

The items found in the bag were heroin/Fentanyl mix, methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia. The items field tested positive for heroin and methamphetamine.  

Kalina
is charged with possession of paraphernalia. Roehm is charged with
possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance,
possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine.
