Washington County man behind bars on drug charges
A Washington County man is behind bars after a traffic stop leads to discovery of methamphetamine.
On Jan. 15 a deputy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at Highway 77 and Memorial Drive in Wausau. When the deputy asked for the suspect’s driver’s license, the driver admitted he did not have a license but produces a Florida Identification Card identifying him as 43-year-old Jeremy Shane Thomas.
A search of Thomas’ vehicle found a container with marijuana and a camouflage bag containing methamphetamine, a glass pipe, grinder, and a marijuana pipe in the back seat.
Thomas is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended, habitual offender.
