Wausau man sentenced for sale of opioids, methamphetamine
In a Washington County Courtroom on Feb. 16, Judge Christopher Patterson handed down a 17-year sentence to David Anthony LaConte of Wausau.
LaConte, 52, was charged with selling illegal drugs after he entered into a narcotics transaction with Washington County Sheriff’s Office Investigators.
Today, a jury found Laconte guilty of selling opioids within 1,000 feet of a specified area and two counts of selling methamphetamine within 1, 000 feet of a church. He was prosecuted by Megan Ford and Jacob Cook, assistant state attorneys for the 14th Judicial Circuit.
