Wildfire smoke causes unhealthy air quality north of blaze

Smoke from wildfires currently burning in Bay, Gulf and Calhoun counties is causing poor air quality in parts of the northern Panhandle.

An air quality sensor near Bonifay reported that air quality was at an unhealthy level on Sunday evening.

At this time, those with respiratory issues are advised to remain indoors and keep windows closed. Those without respiratory conditions should avoid spending extended periods of time outdoors when possible.
