Spanish Trail Playhouse to present cellist Caleb Hernandez

The Spanish Trail Playhouse (STPH) will present cellist Caleb Hernandez in concert at 2 p.m. this Sunday, April 10.

“Caleb Hernandez will bring an outstanding concert of cello works to The Spanish Trail Playhouse stage,” stated organizers. “Featuring works by Brahms, Rachmaninoff, and popular arrangements by The Piano Guys, the event is destined to be an enchanting afternoon with selections to please all audiences.”

Hernandez was born in Venezuela where he started playing cello at the age of seven. In 2016, he came to America to study music and to perform. Over his many years as a cellist, he has performed with several orchestras from children’s orchestras to national symphonies and is currently part of the Panama City Symphony Orchestra.

Hernandez says he has a “true passion” for music.

“My passion has always been to share my love of music with others,” he said. “Expression is my main goal when I perform. My intent when I play is for my music to really speak to you.”

Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased online at www.spanishtrailplayhouse.com or by calling 850-638-9113 from 8 a.m. until noon, Monday through Thursday. The Spanish Trail Playhouse is located at 680 2nd Street in Chipley.

STPH representatives say they are proud to present Caleb Hernandez as the first event of their Season 15 Artist Series. This is the first of three Artist Series events coming to the playhouse this season in addition to the mainstage season to further their mission to promote and increase public knowledge and appreciation of the arts in Washington County.
