The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon to 7 p.m. on April 9.
Affected areas include fire weather zones 007, 008, 009, 010, 011, 012, 013, 108, and 112. This includes all Florida counties west of the Apalachicola River, except Gulf County. Winds are forecast to be west to northwest at15 to 20 mph, with gusts near 30 mph. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is discouraged.
