Two Bay County residents arrested on drug charges

Two Bay County residents are behind bars in Washington County after two unrelated traffic stops by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on April 18.

The first of those two stops was initiated around 5 p.m. on Highway 77 near Carter Circle. After WCSO spoke with the driver identified as Lee Teitelbaum, 40, of Youngstown, a K-9 conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the presence of narcotics.

Teitelbaum is charged with possession of controlled substance without a prescription.

The second of two stops was conducted near Powerline Road and Quail Hollow Boulevard close to 11 p.m. Once again, a K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics during a free-air sniff around the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle driven by 40-year-old Virginia Ann Richardson, of Lynn Haven revealed methamphetamine.

Richardson is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance without a prescription.
