A Vernon man is behind bars after being caught with explosives.
While on patrol in Greenhead on Wednesday, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies observed a man acting suspiciously in a construction work zone.
The deputies made contact with the man who was allegedly holding a narcotic smoking device in his left hand and identified him as 28-year-ol Dominic Longo, of Vernon.
Longo consented to a search of his backpack which resulted in his arrest due to items located inside.
Longo is charged with possession of explosives, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of paraphernalia.
