Suspect in attempted murder in custody

The suspect in an attempted murder case was apprehended on September 14, by Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) after a four day search.

26-year-old Parisha Antwanette Massaline is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, battery, two counts of aggravated child abuse and two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle.

The charges stem from a disturbance with shots fired on September 10 on Donnell Road.

The victim retreated to an address on Haywood Drive and contacted WCSO Telecommunications Center. Deputies arrived and made contact with the victim who stated a verbal altercation had erupted between Massaline and herself at the Donnell Road address.

As she was attempting to leave the property, Massaline tried several times to get physical with the victim but she managed to get the children out of the residence and into the vehicle. The release said Massaline followed the victim out of the residence and began pointing and firing a firearm at the vehicle. One of the projectiles struck the door but did not penetrate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the Donnell Road address to witness the residence to be unoccupied, several windows broken, the house ransacked and several live rounds and casings found outside on the ground of the property.

Sheriff Kevin Crews thanks the public for their assistance in locating Massaline.
