Two drivers were transported to area hospitals with injuries sustained in a crash involving a Washington County SheriffÂ’s Office patrol vehicle and a pickup truck Monday evening.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, FHP is investigating a traffic crash that occurred about 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 273 (South Boulevard) and State Road 277.
FHP said the Washington County patrol vehicle, a Ford Explorer, was traveling west on S.R. 273 and failed to come to a stop at the intersection. The patrol vehicle collided with a red Ford pickup truck that was traveling southbound on S.R. 277.
