Two adults, one juvenile arrested for burglary and grand theft


Three females are behind bars in Washington County on burglary and grand theft charges. Two of the females are adults while the third is a 16-year-old juvenile.

A call came into the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in the afternoon of December 4, reporting a stolen vehicle from a residence on Jones Court. When a deputy arrived on scene, the victim stated three females had stolen their vehicle and fled the scene.

WCSO put a Be On the Look Out (BOLO) for the vehicle which was recovered minutes later at a residence on Melody Lane.

The victim and deputies arrived at the residence on Melody Lane to find the home unoccupied, ransacked, and the front door standing open.

Investigators were able to identify the suspects and gain arrest warrants for the trio. The investigation determined multiple items, valued in excess of $1,000, had been destroyed on the victim’s property while the victim was not at home.

WCSO obtained video during the investigation, along with confessions by some of the suspects, which resulted in the arrest of the three females.

Elizabeth Haylee Folds, 19,  of Chipley is charged with burglary of a structure causing damage in excess of $1000.

Charlie Malone French, 18,  of Bonifay, is charged with burglary of a structure causing damage over $1000, battery and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

A 16-year-old juvenile, of Chipley was arrested and charged with burglary of a structure causing damage in excess of $1000.
