The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a death on Firetower Road, near Wausau.
At 5:25 a.m. this morning a 911 call came into Washington County Communications Center regarding a female lying in the road on Firetower Road. Investigators are currently processing the scene as it is being treated as a homicide investigation.
Sheriff Kevin Crews says the investigation is still in the very early stages but it appears at this time the victim is not a Washington County resident.
