As the business community gains momentum in Downtown Chipley, the sector is seeing a range of events take place.
That will continue with the Downtown Fall Block Party scheduled for Oct. 26. The event will be held from 6-9 p.m. and “include multiple games, live entertainment on both ends of town, kids crafts, photo props, a pumpkin patch, and the launching of [a] monthly Artisan Market,†the Downtown Chipley Thursday Night Lights group said in a news release.
“Downtown businesses will also be open,†the news release said.
The Thursday Night Lights group–so named for a rebranded event where local merchants leave their lights on while cornhole games and other entertainment options are offered in the area–said “upcoming events…have created a buzz that our community seems to have been missing.â€
“For the past year, Sip-N-Shop has taken place in Downtown Chipley on the third Thursday of each month,†the news release said. “Originating with only a single open shop it has quickly grown into an event that draws a crowd.â€
