By Staff ReportA traffic crash on Saturday, Dec. 2, resulted in the death of a 69-year-old man from Bonifay.
Douglas A. Church was walking west bound across the intersection of Highway 77 and Nadia Ave. in Chipley against a green light when he was hit by a white Dodge truck, according to the Chipley Police Department (CPD).
The truck was going through the intersection with the green light, a news release from the CPD said.
“Officers attempted to offer aid and performed CPR until Washington County EMS arrived on scene and pronounced Church deceased on scene,” the news release said.
The case remains under investigation.
