The Washington County Board of County Commissioners approved the grant and plans during a meeting on Dec. 14.

The improvements were referred to as phase one. The park is specifically at 3193 Moss Hill Road and currently has two shaded seating areas, a playground for kids, bathrooms, and a bench.

The expected completion date is April 30, 2026.
