Keisha Williams Photography settles into new Downtown Chipley studio

When clients set up an appointment to have their portrait taken at Keisha Williams Photography, they can expect what owner Keisha William said is a “luxury” experience.

Keisha Williams Photography provides hair and makeup services for client photos, along with a special wardrobe selection.

The photo studio recently moved into a new location on Railroad Avenue in Downtown Chipley, next to Box Car Coffee. The business was previously located by Piggly Wiggly.

The move was made possible through grant funding from the Chipley Redevelopment Agency, which aims to foster business activity in the downtown area. Construction on the new downtown location started last December, which including gutting the Railroad Avenue space. 

Williams said the new site provides more space and better parking for clients.

“I enjoy being downtown,” she said. “I love being on Railroad Avenue.”

Clients can immediately see and order their photos after a shoot. Williams also consults with clients beforehand to learn what they want to express with their pictures. 

“It’s designed to empower my clients and make them feel important,” Williams said. “Everything is designed around them.”

Among Keisha Williams Photography’s clientele are women who are 40 years of age or older. Williams said these types of women tend to be busy with their careers and taking care of their families and may not always have time for themselves.

Keisha Williams Photography gives them a chance to come in for some pampering, Williams said.

“They’re leaving a legacy for them and their families,” she said of clients’ photos.

Williams said she is a storyteller who creates art for her clients.

Keisha Williams Photography has been in business for approximately seven years.

Williams said she loves supporting and shopping at other local businesses and being a part of the community. 

Keisha Williams Photography will be participating in the Thursday Night Lights events in the downtown area, which promotes local businesses and has activities for the community. A local children’s book author will be holding a signing at Keisha Williams Photography during the next Thursday Night Lights event.
