The 3rd Annual “Christmas in July” motorcycle ride and poker run, hosted by AmVets Post 007 and Washington-Holmes County Toys for Tots, raised $9,088 on Saturday, July 18, to support local children during the 2026 holiday season.
Ninety participants registered for the ride, traveling on two, three, and four wheels, with support from 51 event sponsors. Riders departed AmVets Post 007 in Chipley at 10:30 a.m., making stops at AmVets Post 231 in Fountain and American Legion Post 375 in Panama City before ending at Sam’s Place in Bonifay.
The Christmas in July themed event included raffles and concluded with live music by the Kind of a Big Deal Band.
The fundraiser serves as the kickoff for the organization’s 2026 fundraising efforts, with additional events, including a toy drive and car show, planned later this year to benefit children in Washington and Holmes counties.
