The Washington County Fire Department (WCFD) recently received a donation of $400 worth of bottled and canned drinks from Emerald Coast Hospice in support of the department’s community outreach during the upcoming Wausau Fun Day and Possum Festival.

According to WCFD, the donated beverages will be distributed free of charge to community members and visitors attending the festival as a way to give back and help everyone stay refreshed while enjoying the day’s activities.

The department expressed gratitude to Emerald Coast Hospice for its generosity and continued commitment to serving the community, noting that support from organizations like theirs allows the agency to connect with the public in meaningful ways and strengthen community partnerships. WCFD also extended special thanks to Emerald Coast Hospice Market Manager Sunshine Speers and the entire Emerald Coast Hospice team for making the donation possible, highlighting their shared goal of serving others and improving the quality of life in the community.
