Ribbon cutting welcomes GypsyRose to new Chipley location

A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday, Sept. 9, to welcome GypsyRose to its new location in Chipley. Owner Deborah Naugle was joined by city officials, Washington County Chamber of Commerce representatives, fellow business owners, and members of the community as the Chamber officially celebrated the restaurant’s relocation. The ceremony took place at 1411 Jackson Avenue, where attendees gathered to congratulate Naugle and her family on bringing GypsyRose’s Southern‑style cooking and hometown hospitality to Washington County. Naugle shared that the restaurant’s name carries personal meaning: “Gypsy” reflects a wandering spirit, while “Rose” honors her late mother. GypsyRose previously operated in Fountain before moving to Chipley. The restaurant offers inside dining, takeout, and a drive‑thru, and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Naugle is pictured with attendees during the ribbon cutting ceremony.
