Chipley splash pad set for completion by next year

CHIPLEY – Local children will have one more resource for warm weather recreation next year, thanks to plans by the City of Chipley to construct a splash pad at Jim Trawick Park.

The project will be funded by a $50,000 Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) grant and was approved earlier this week by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

City officials will meet in coming weeks to discuss details of the project moving forward, but it is expected to be completed in time for families to enjoy the feature sometime next year.
