Washington County – Florida Highway Patrol is actively searching for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a Lakeview, Alabama man with serious injuries.
Emergency responders arrived on scene in the area of County Roads 273 and 276 in Washington County shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday, where FHP reports a vehicle traveling southbound on CR 273, also known as Orange Hill Road, struck a 49-year-old bicyclist who was also traveling southbound.
According to FHP reports, the front of the vehicle struck the rear of the bicycle and then fled the scene. The vehicle is believed to be a blue 2014- 2019 Nissan Rogue with a missing passenger side mirror and damage to the front right of the vehicle.
