Washington County will host Amnesty Day to collect household-quantity hazardous waste from 8 a.m. until noon, Saturday, March 12.
For one day only, Washington County residents are allowed to dispose of items such as pesticides, appliances, used oil, and batteries at the Washington County Recycling Center.
No gas cylinders or explosives will be accepted. Conditionally exempt small-quantity generators will be accepted at a reduced rate.
For more information about permissible items, contact the Recycling Center Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Washington County Recycling Center is located at 3115 Highway 77 in Chipley.
