Short pursuit lands one in jail

A short pursuit lands a Washington County man behind bars on multiple charges.

On April 27, Washington County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle that was traveling near Pioneer Road and Bonet Pond Road.

The male subject was traveling westbound on Pioneer Road and failed to stop for deputies, which initiated a pursuit. The pursuit continued on Pioneer Road where the subject traveled through a yard and turned back eastbound onto Pioneer Road.

According to WCSO, a short time later, the subject, later identified as Kevin Alan Harrison, 32, of Chipley, pulled off the road into a ditch where he left the motorcycle and fled on foot.

Deputies were able to locate Harrison underneath the porch of a nearby residence.

Harrison is charged with  fleeing/eluding, and active warrants for the sale of methamphetamine and felony possession of a firearm.
