The Vernon Yellow Jackets traveled to Bristol Friday night to face former head coach Gerald Tranquille and his Liberty County Bulldogs. Despite a very hard-played game, Vernon fell 21-0 to the Bulldogs and took a 0-1 record.
Vernon will face Franklin County this Friday in a home game at Yellow Jacket Stadium.
Friday night is Senior Night for the Yellow Jackets as players Ryan Hagan, Mason Lee and Joshua Moultry will be recognized along with VHS Band and Vernon Army JROTC members.
The ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff promptly at 7.
