The second annual Flower Farm Tour was a big success for Black Barn Blossoms and Fussell’s Daylily Farm.

The event was recently held to encourage people to shop locally for their floral needs. With the locations being just 20 minutes apart, visitors were able to shop and browse the day away. There was a little something for everyone from workshops, making your own bouquet, cutting flowers, games, prizes and good eats.

Two additional plant nurseries were on site selling bulbs and plants. Sand Hills Native Nursery out of Bay County, sold plants native to the area and Arbor Lane Nursery out of Vernon had a variety of fruit trees to sell.

Black Barn Blossom Owner and event organizer Gina Hamilton says she hopes the event gets bigger every year.

“We hope to continue to grow this event every year and allow people to enjoy the beautiful Washington County,†Hamilton said. “Between us and Clint Fussell, there are flowers for everyone.â€

“We are thrilled to have been part of the tour again this year,†Fussell said. “We wanted people to come see us both and get some of the prettiest flowers around. And they sure did.â€

Both farms have a multitude of varieties of flowers in a wide range of colors and sizes from gladiolas, sunflowers, daylilies and zinnia. There is something for everyone.
