54th annual Wausau Possum Festival and Fun Day schedule of events

Wausau’s iconic Possum Festival and Fun Day will return this Friday and Saturday, August 4 and 5.

Here is the schedule of events:

FRIDAY – August 4

Grace & Grit concert – 6 p.m.

Possum King and Queen contest – 7 p.m.

SATURDAY – August 5

Pancake breakfast at Masonic Hall – 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Parade – 10 a.m.

Welcome, invocation and introduction of scholarship winners – 10:45 a.m.

Anthony Severson music – 11 a.m. to noon

Possum and Quilt auction – noon to 1 p.m.

Hog calling, rooster crowing and cow lowing contest – 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Anthony Severson music – 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Pregame activities – 6 p.m.

Donkey Ball game – 7 p.m.
