The Washington County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation after reports of sexual abuse were called in alleging 55-year-old Calvin Arthur Long had forced the victim into a sexual act.

The investigation led to a warrant being issued for Long and ultimately his arrest on September 19.
Long is charged with sexual assault by custodian-sexual battery victim 12 years of age under 18 years of age, and lewd and lascivious behavior victim older than 12, younger than 16.
 Long’s bond is set at $150,000.
