By Staff ReportThe Chipola Regional Arts Association (CRAA) will hold its second meeting of the 2023-2024 calendar on Tuesday, Oct. 17.Â
The public is welcome to attend the meeting at Jim’s Buffet and Grill at 4329 Lafayette Street in Marianna at 11:30 a.m. for a Dutch treat lunch, followed by the meeting at noon.
The guest presenter is Joan McDonald, development director for the Wiregrass Museum of Art in Dothan.
McDonald relocated from Cape Cod Massachusetts to Cottondale last fall after leaving her position as General Manager of the College Light Opera Company.
McDonald also worked as a director of lifespan religious education for churches in Massachusetts and Iowa, as well as a coordinator and trainer in suicide prevention, and managed grants and the school to careers program for the Workforce Investment Board on Cape Cod.
In addition, McDonald is a clay artist, primarily sculpture and hand-building. Her work, often minutely detailed, is inspired by her love of nature and the strong influence of her mother’s talent in fiber arts.
