Recruits take next step in becoming correctional officers

Recruits celebrated a graduation ceremony for the Florida Department of Corrections Basic Recruit Academy on Thursday, Oct. 12.

The graduates hailed from Holmes CI, the FDC’s Northwest Florida Reception Center in Chipley, and Walton CI.

“This graduation ceremony marks a momentous occasion in their journey toward becoming correctional officers,†an FDC news release said. “They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and are dedicated to ensuring public safety.â€
