One of the Panhandleâ€™s signature fundraisers is having a 40th anniversary this year.
The Salvation Armyâ€™s Empty Stocking Fundâ€“based in Panama Cityâ€“officially begins soon.
â€œEvery dollar raised brings food, housing and other important services to those who need it most,â€ a news release said. â€œThe Panama City Corps Office serves six counties across the panhandle including Bay, Washington, Holmes, Jackson, Calhoun and Gulf.â€
The kickoff ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 9, at BillÂ Cramerâ€™s GM dealership on 23rd Street in Panama City. Donations can be mailed to theÂ Salvation Army Corps Office, 1824 West 15th Street, Panama City, FL 32401 or online here.
