By Collin BreauxChipley resident Destiny Worley is in her second year of collecting gift donations for regional senior citizens.
Worley is planning to bring holiday gifts to people at Community Health and Rehabilitation Center, a senior living facility in Panama City, in December and invites the community to donate to the cause.
She will hand-deliver the gifts, which will include sponsor names. Socks and candy are included in the donations.
“They’ll get some lotion and hand cream,†Worley said.
The holiday gifts are Worley’s way of giving back to her community.
“Their faces just light up,†she said of the senior’s reactions to the gifts. “It’s very heartwarming and they feel good.â€
Donations can be made through Venmo at Destiny-Worley-8, PayPal at d00dlebug99, or Cash App at d00dlebug9. The deadline to do so is Nov. 28.
