School District to get grant for K-2 music education

K-2 music students in Washington County School District are expected to benefit from a new grant the School District is receiving.

The grant was announced during a School Board meeting on March 11 and is $119,000. 

While the School District already has music programs, the funding is expected to provide students new instruments and additional personnel for summer camps. 

The grant will specifically be used for students at Kate M. Smith Elementary, Vernon Elementary, and WAVE schools.
