44-year-old Alphonso Ali Smith of New Orleans, Louisiana, was arrested on Thursday, August 27, in Washington County on an active Bay County warrant, as well as multiple active warrants out of Louisiana.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputies who were assigned as Task Force Officers (TFOs), along with the U.S. Marshals Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, located Smith at a Pine Log Road address in Sunny Hills.
Smith was wanted in Bay County on charges of solicitation of a minor for sexual conduct, transmission of harmful material to a minor, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. He also faces similar charges stemming from Louisiana.
Smith was taken into custody without incident and will be held in the Washington County Jail pending extradition to Bay County.
