City of Vernon hosts second low cost rabies vaccination event

The City of Vernon and Vernon Animal Control held a second low cost vaccine clinic on Saturday, August 29, at Vernon City Hall, offering affordable services to help residents keep their pets protected and registered. The clinic, opened to residents throughout the Vernon ZIP code, provided 22 rabies vaccinations and three parvo-distemper vaccinations, and 15 pets were newly registered within city limits. Nail trims were also offered for $10 by Sonny Acres Farm & Pet Care, LLC. Organizers are planning to host another vaccine clinic in the new year.
