Caryville residents arrested for burglary

The burglary of a barn resulted in the arrest of Brandon Lee Charles Thomas and Jessica Lynn Parrett by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Thomas, 30, and Parrett, 34, are both from Caryville.

The arrests came after a homeowner reported several items missing after they returned home.

“WCSO deputies quickly develop two people of interest and conduct a traffic stop,†a WCSO news release said. “Both [Thomas and Parrett] were questioned about the burglary, and both confessed to their involvement in the thefts.â€

Various charges made against the two individuals include larceny, burglary of an unoccupied structure, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“The quick and thorough actions of the deputies allowed for this case to be solved very shortly after receiving the report,†Sheriff Kevin Crews said in the news release. “We are pleased to be able to put the suspects behind bars before more burglaries occurred in the area.â€

  1. Concerning new editor of Washington County News:m Even though this is the Bible belt, some people would likeonly a minimum of this in the paper.

    I’m thinking of not renewing my subscription after being a long time subscriber.

    I see this as a paper catering to a certain group of people. We have liberal people here as well as conservatives, and many people who are from other states, New York, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and many other places. People who are Democrat’s as well as Republicans. I was born here, have traveled 41 states.
