A pop-up water event for families is scheduled March 22-26 at the Caryville RV Park from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
The event is being held during spring break and will feature a water slide and kids’ activities, including obstacle courses and bounce houses. Food will also be available.
Caryville Town Clerk Kent Taylor announced the event during a Town Council meeting on March 12.
“If it’s successful, it may grow up to four times a year,” Taylor said. “This time, it’s an experiment.”
The RV Park is at 4440 Old Spanish Trail.
“I think it’s going to be pretty big,” Taylor said. “They’ve been going around to the schools, talking to children.”
Tickets range in price from $5 to $60 and can be purchased at arserentals.com.
In other Caryville news, Town Councilmember Jim Taylor discussed a desire to see trash picked up along the roadside of Highway 90 near the town limits.
“It’s bad,” he said. “It’s a mess. There were water bottles with water and soda. I know the wind didn’t throw them out there.”
