Worm Fiddin Fest returns
After a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Caryville Worm Fiddlin’ Festival returned Saturday, May 7.
The fest featured multiple vendors, children’s activities, music entertainment, and of course, the traditional worm fiddlin’ contest. 17 teams competed this year with Franky Williams and daughter Pasiley fiddling 15 worms for the win.
Councilwoman Becky Pate spearheaded the event this year and states she is happy with the turnout. “We are so happy to be back this year,” said Pate. “After COVID stopped last year’s event, we are thrilled with the turnout this year. We cannot wait to make next year bigger and better.”
