Chipley man claims lottery prize 

A Chipley man is now richer.

Kenneth Conklin, 51, recently claimed a $1 million prize from the $5,000,000 TRIPLE MATCH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, the Florida Lottery announced on Oct. 12 in a news release. 

“He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $664,198,†the Florida Lottery’s announcement said. 

Conklin reportedly purchased his ticket from the Tom Thumb location at 1034 Main Street. 

“The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket,†the announcement said.
