A new oyster bar will open in Caryville on Nov. 3.
The restaurant is called Pate Farms Raw Bar & Grill and will be family-owned and operated on Highway 90 at the former French’s Restaurant & Oyster Bar location–4280 Old Spanish Road, to be specific.
Cassie Pate and her brother will be working at the restaurant, which is owned by their parents. Other family members will do the cooking.
“We’re really excited to be able to have a restaurant in Caryville where we don’t have a lot of options,†Pate said. “It’s always been my dream, especially my dad’s.â€
The first 10 people at the grand opening–which is on a Friday–will receive free appetizers. The eatery will also do a $50 gift card giveaway on social media.
“We love oysters,†Pate said. “That’s one of my family’s favorite foods.â€
