Wausau Fire and Rescue and Wausau Masonic Lodge hosted the annual Community Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 9.
Members of both organizations spent two nights stuffing more than 4,000 eggs with candy for the event held at the Possum Palace. Th eggs were hidden for local children. Some lucky hunters found the prize eggs, while others took home bicycles donated by Wausau Fire and Rescue, Wausau Garden Club and Wausau Development Club.
Assistant Fire Chief Adam Smith says the event was a success.
“We had a good turnout,” said Smith. “The kids are happy and that is what matters most to us. They are why we do this.”
