A Chipley man was arrested for methamphetamine possession following a traffic stop of a golf cart.
Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office observed a male on a golf cart that was not street legal, driving on a county-maintained roadway. WCSO initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. When asked for a driver’s license for a brief check the driver stated he lost his wallet and had not gotten a replacement license. The driver told deputies his name was Andrew Jacob Culp.
Culp was asked to exit the golf cart and consented to a pat down search. The search located a pocketknife and a clear plastic bag with what appeared to be methamphetamine according to a release from WCSO. A field test resulted in a positive result for methamphetamine.
Culp is charged with possession of methamphetamine.
