The Florida Department of Transportation is advising of the relocation of the Park and Ride area in Bay County to Crystal Lake Drive in Washington County.
The State Road 77 Park and Ride area is relocating from just south of the Bay County line to Crystal Lake Drive in Washington County beginning 8 a.m. Friday, July 8. The old Park and Ride area will permanently close at 7 p.m. on July 9. Message boards are in place to notify motorists of the new location.
The Park and Ride lot allows commuters the opportunity to carpool, share a ride, and avoid a stressful ride along congested roadways. Parking is available for free on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking in excess of 24-hours is prohibited.
All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the posted speed limit of 45 mph when traveling through the construction area and watch for construction equipment entering and exiting the roadway. Speeding fines are double when workers are present.
