Victim identified in homicide investigation

According to Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the body found on Firetower Road yesterday morning has been identified as a 41-year-old Bay County woman, Dawn Kristen Langford.

Although information is being held close to the vest for investigative purposes, officials say they have notified Langford’s family and are working closely with Bay County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office, and the Medical Examiner’s office to examine all leads in the investigation.

“This is an ongoing homicide investigation,” said Sheriff Kevin Crews. “We ask that anyone in this area that may have seen anything Tuesday night or early morning Wednesday, especially around Firetower Road, to contact our office.”
