Schools in Washington County will be closed Thursday, April 11, due to a forecast of severe weather.
“The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our utmost priority, and given the predicted strong winds and potential flooding and the effect on area roads, we have decided to cancel all classes and activities,” Washington County School District announced in a news release.
The School District will communicate when classes resume through social media, automated phone calls, and their website.
Adverse weather, including potential strong winds, are expected to roll into the area beginning Wednesday and continuing into Thursday.
