Washington County SheriffÂ’s Office responded to a shooting incident late Sunday morning that left one victim in stable condition with the shooter still on the run late Sunday afternoon.
A 911 call was received at approximately 10:55 a.m. in reference to a shooting off North Silver Lake Road in Washington County, close to the Bay County line.
According to WCSO, a verbal altercation erupted between family members that left one with a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim is reported to be in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators believe the shooter fled Washington County.
An investigation of the shooting continues as authorities search for the whereabouts of the shooter.
