5 Flags Pizza is open and ready to serve pizza, wings and more

Good food at an even better price is what 5 Flags Pizza in Chipley has on their menu.

Owner Deep Patel opened the pizzeria in mid-December after working in the industry for the past 10 years. Patel is a Bonifay native who says he wants to feed families at an affordable price.

“After giving away free pizzas the first three days we were open, I came up with the $5 menu,†Patel said. “I want to be able to feed and fill families up with good food for under $20.â€

The following items can be found on the $5 menu: large one-topping pizza, one-topping calzone, 10 garlic knots, three cheese stuffed bread or a house salad.

The give-away was Patel’s way of showcasing his product in hopes that the taste would turn those recipients into repeat customers.

The menu not only features classic style pies, but also specialty pizzas such as the Alfredo chicken and bacon, caprese and Hawaiian. Customers can order calzones, wings, salads and desserts. Each item is made fresh to order.

Patel says he is opening an Italian restaurant as well.

“I expect to open a full sit down restaurant by the end of January,†he said. “We will feature fresh handmade pastas and Italian favorites as well as desserts.â€

Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
