From the cinnamon rolls to the brisket tacos, everything served at Sisters Sweets, Eats and More in downtown Chipley is homemade by owners Gina Pippin and her daughter, Janae Ritter.
Four years ago, Pippin opened the bakery with her sister but has since become partners with Ritter.
“We kept the name Sisters because everyone already knew us by that name, and it would be too much to change everything,†Pippin said.
When the business first opened they offered the daily sweets and one lunch option but after COVID-19, everything changed. Sisters began serving breakfast and a full menu with a different lunch special every day of the week.
Pippin said Ritter is the one there early in the morning preparing breakfast for the day with their employees.
“Breakfast is all Janae, she comes in every morning and kills it,†said Pippin. “She is a big part of this place, I’m so proud of the work she does.â€
Quality is the name of the game when it comes to service and product.
“We really strive to put out what we would want to eat,†Pippin said. “We want to offer a quality product. We aren’t perfect but we try to put out the best we can.â€
Pippin says their best sellers are the cinnamon rolls, pop tarts and all of their pasta lunch dishes, all of which are fresh and homemade.
The pop tarts have been absent from the display case but will soon be making a comeback in February, according to Pippin.
“We have been super blessed with great customers,†Pippin said. “We truly appreciate the support through the pandemic and food crisis shortages. Our customers and community have been loyal and wonderful. We want to continue to bring good things for them because without them, none of this would be possible.â€
